The Value of Customer Support
Providing ongoing support for your Point of Sales system is an important service that can best be provided by an experienced Microsoft Partner. The most economical and predictable manner of providing that support is by entering into a support agreement or contract that helps both of us manage expectations and avoid surprises. We have developed a Support Program that will do this which is both comprehensive and practical, and includes:
• Program updates, hot fixes, and security patches
• Antivirus Solutions that work with and not against your system
• Secure Data Services—Remote and Secure Backup Services
• Problem Resolution and escalation (if required) to Microsoft Engineers
• General technical assistance
• Discounts on related Technical Service, hardware, consumables, etc.
Alternately, you can attempt all of these services on your own. And you may choose the best option for your organization with respect to RMS/POS. The choices are to enter into a support agreement and allow us to provide the level of support you need; or decide to support your own organization with my assistance based strictly upon availability.
By entering into support agreements, we can better predict activity and staff our organization to serve you promptly. Without a support agreement, we must decide which customers get full and immediate attention and which ones do not. This can lead to misunderstandings and a poor service experience for you, a situation we try very hard to prevent.
Of particular importance is the need to clarify who is has the responsibility for disaster recovery, virus protection, and system outages. Without a support agreement, you are entirely responsible. With our Premium Support, we responsible. To help make the case for Premium Support, consider the following expenses which you will incur by doing it on your own:
